Medieval Merchant’s House
Dear medieval merchant’s house, I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to visit but I’m glad I finally did.

The Medieval Merchant’s House, built around 1290, in downtown/Old Town Southampton was the 5 room family house and place of business of a 14th century prosperous wine merchant. Downstairs was the shop front, central hall for entertaining, and kitchen. Upstairs has two bedrooms; one for guests and the other the entire family slept in (no thank you!), including servants. The cellar is where the wine was stored.
